17.10.2018

The “psychological lexicon of psychology” by Jolanta Pisarek and Dr. Paweł Fortuna from the Department of Experimental Psychology at the Catholic University of Lublin received this year’s Theophrastus Award for the best popular science psychological book.

As reported by the Charaktery publishing house, which has been awarding the prize for 10 years, it is an expression of appreciation for Polish psychologists for their research, knowledge and willingness to share it. – We know how difficult it is to describe the complex mechanisms that guide the psyche and behavior of people. One of the first scientists to do this was the patron of the Prize, Theophrastus of Eresos – Greek natural philosopher and author of Character.

The honorary patron of the Theophrastus Prize is Prof. Jerzy Duszyński, president of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
