Three students of University of Life Sciences in Poznan win Diamond Grants

Three students of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań are winners of the Diamond Grant program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. During the implementation of their first independent research projects the students will receive up to PLN 2,500 a month.

The grants will be awarded to Michał Brzoski from the department of agriculture and bioengineering to study the impact of process factors on the efficiency of biogas production from municipal waste using artificial neural networks; Paulina Korpys from the Faculty of Food and Nutrition Sciences to study the intensification of production of heterologous proteins in Yarrowia lipolytica unconventional cells through the use of molecular engineering mechanisms of maturation and secretion of polypeptides and Monika Kubiak from the Faculty of Food Sciences and Nutrition: Manipulation of cellular response to stress as a strategy increasing the overproduction of heterologous proteins in recombinant Yarrowia lipolytica unconventional yeast cells.
