University of Life Sciences in Poznań is one of 108 partners involved in the SmartAgriHubs project, which is to accelerate the digital transformation of the European agricultural and food sector.

The project has a budget of 20 million euros co-financed by the European Union and aims to create a broad, Europe-wide network of digital innovations (Digital Innovation Hubs). The implementation of the project began on November 1, 2018. The coordinator of the work is the Dutch University Wageningen.

SmartAgriHubs aims to create a mutually connected ecosystem where stakeholders work together at different stages of innovation from early research to farm applications. It is expected that over 4 thousand farms will be involved within 2 thousand experiments that are to adapt the process of digitization to the specific needs of farmers.
