University of Silesia to hold a lecture Extreme CERN – levitation and unusual properties of matter

The University of Silesia in Katowice is inviting participants on June 15 to the third part of the open CERN lectures, which are to explain the problems studied in the world’s largest laboratory. The meeting will start at. 14.00 in the auditorium Nicolaus Copernicus at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at ul. Bankowa 14.

Lecture “Extreme CERN – levitation and unusual properties of matter” will be delivered by Dr Arkadiusz Gorzawski – a scientist associated with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva and the University of Malta.

Participants will be able to learn about the research of CERN. The organization uses the largest and most complex research devices in the world using superconductivity and unusual properties of matter at extremely low temperatures.
