University of Warsaw to hold the conference “Climate change in Poland”

On October 23, the University of Warsaw (UW) is holding a conference entitled “Climate change in Poland”. It will be attended by scientists and representatives of Polish ministries and non-governmental organizations. Participants will talk about the impact of climate change on human life.

In four panels the participants will discuss the impact of climate change on migration and refugees, human health, food security, the state of waters, and Polish fauna and flora. The debate will also address issues of the forecasted course of climate change in Poland, the responsibility of decision makers for climate change, and the impact of business activities on the environment.

It will be attended by scientists from the University of Warsaw, the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology and non-governmental organizations such as: Polish Smog Alarm, International Organization for Migration, WHO, Youth Climate Strike, Greenpeace, UNEP / GRID-Warsaw Center, WWF.
