University of Wroclaw joins the international project of atmospheric processes research

Institute of Geography and Regional Development – Department of Climatology and Atmospheric Protection of the University of Wroclaw began the implementation of the project “Sources and Chemical Composition of Particulate Matter in Poland and their Control Strategies (PMCOST).”

The project’s implementation is to contribute to strengthening the university’s cooperation with research centers – European leaders in researching the atmosphere and its impact on humans, expanding the knowledge and skills of employees in the field of modeling atmospheric processes and assessing the impact of these processes on human health and life using modern research tools.

Activities financed from the H2020-WIDESPREAD-2018-03-Twinning program will also contribute to strengthening the scientific position of the university in the field of atmospheric processes research and increasing cooperation between the University and state administration units related to the assessment of atmospheric air quality.
