Young scientists of the University of Wroclaw receive scholarships in the Start competition

Seven young scientists from the University of Wroclaw won scholarships in the Start competition of the Foundation for Polish Science. Wroclaw’s university is the third in terms of the number of rewarded scientists and scientists.

Annual scholarships in the amount of 28 to 36 thousand PLN were received by: Patrycja Brzdąk (molecular biology); Filip Duszyński (geomorphology); Mateusz Janeta (chemistry); Karolina Jara (history of art); Paweł Lenio (legal studies); Krzysztof Sornat (IT) and Marika Żyła-Karwowska (chemistry).

For the 27th time, the Foundation for Polish Science has selected the most promising and brightest researchers in a multi-stage competition, applied by 899 people. The average age of the winners is 29 years, and 60% scholarship holders have already obtained PhD titles. In total, the Foundation allocated PLN 3 million for the scholarships.
