From 1 to 4 June, the tenth “Droniada” will be held in the Silesian Park and at the Katowice – Muchowiec airport. The Silesian University of Technology is co-organising the event for the second time. Part of the event is the Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology conference under the honorary patronage of the head of the National Security Bureau. 

The main themes of the conference at the Silesian Planetarium are the positive aspects of the application of AI in drones and robotics, but also a reflection on the way in which IT specialists, for example, are trained and the role of AI in the rapid preparation of advanced programmes. The organisers also want to look at how the drone war going on in Ukraine is affecting public acceptance of aerial robotics.

As part of the event, the Droniad Challenge by Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation will be held in the Silesian Park. It is one of the most challenging technology competitions in the world combining computer science, mechatronics and robotics with aviation.
