The University Clinical Hospital in Poznań will receive PLN 150 million from the Medical Fund for the OnkoPlus project – the development of the University Oncology Centre. Thanks to the funding, the Poznań University Medical University unit will build and equip a new centre providing comprehensive treatment for oncology patients.
The investment will improve access to highly specialised oncology services – including rapid diagnostics. A modern academic radiotherapy centre will be created to ensure comprehensive treatment of patients in a single location.
The project includes the development of outpatient oncology care with the creation and equipment of a radiotherapy centre, the expansion of the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit and the Imaging Diagnostics Department, the purchase of medical equipment for the Oncology Surgery Unit and the expansion and retrofitting of oncology wards and other cooperating units with a waiting room for patients.
