The spin-off company of the Warsaw University Warsaw Genomics, which specializes in conducting genetic tests as well as a research team that discovered a method of obtaining sustained mRNA for develop innovative anticancer vaccines, were awarded at the 20th anniversary of the Technology Transfer Center of the University of Warsaw.
During the ceremony, Prof. Marcin Pałys, rector of the University of Warsaw explained that the best universities do not only conduct edge-cutting research and ensure the quality of education. They also have a strong impact on the environment, including the commercialization of the results of research and the support of entrepreneurship of employees, PhD students and students.
The Central European Startup Awards distinguished the spin-off company Warsaw Genomics in 2017 as the best biotechnology start-up in Poland.
