PhD dissertation and 5 Master’s theses of the students of the Silesian University of Technology were awarded in the 20th Competition for the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Awards. The gala ceremony took place in the Senate Hall of the Academy of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała.

The jury rewarded Przemysław Snopiński’s dissertation and master’s theses of Jakub Hyla, Pola Gwiaździńska, Danuta Zając, Kamil Miesiączka and Krystian Molasa. The awards were also received by 6 students from the Academy of Technology and Humanities.

The first competition took place in 1997 as one of the activities of the framework agreement on scientific and technical cooperation and training between the Fiat Research Center – Fiat Polska and the Warsaw University of Technology as well as the Silesian University of Technology. In the second competition, in 1998, it was joined by the University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała – at that time as a branch of the Lodz University of Technology. In the 20 competitions, a total of 358 works from all three universities were awarded.
