The University of Silesia invites participants from 26 to 28 September on the 4th Days of Digital Accessibility. The aim of the event is to promote and familiarize the subject of digital and social inclusion. The meeting will take place at the headquarters of the Regional Institute of Culture in Katowice.

The theme of this year’s event will be “Digital inclusion and accessibility to the world of culture and art”. In the seminar, the participants will listen to lectures on standards of accessibility to the world of culture and art, the social dimension of digitization of cultural heritage, ways of accessing subtitles and accessibility of websites for people with disabilities.

During the workshop, rules for creating available content on websites will be presented in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 recommended by the W3C Consortium. The participants will learn how to prepare the content of advertisments and events for people with disabilities in an accessible way.
