Five inventions from the Department of Microelectronics and Information Technology of the Lodz University of Technology were awarded at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2018 in South Korea. Three inventions received gold, and two silver medals.
The gold medal was received for the system of optimization of construction costs and exploitation of underground high voltage cable lines by Dr Eng. Andrzej Cichy, Dr Eng. Bartosz Sakowicz, Prof. George Anders and Dr Eng. Marek Kamiński.
The second medal was awarded for the ARUZ project – Real-Complex Systems Analyzer, which is a chemical process simulator using FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) technology by Dr. Eng. Jarosław Jung, Dr Piotr Polanowski, Dr Eng. Rafał Kiełbik, Dr Eng. Krzysztof Hałagan, Dr Eng. Witold Zatorski, Prof. Jacek Ulański, Prof. Andrzej Napieralski and Prof. Tadeusz Pakuła, Marek Cieślak.
The third gold medal was obtained by MSc. Piotr Perek, Dr. Eng. Dariusz Makowski, Dr. Eng. Aleksander Mielczarek and Prof. Andrzej Napieralski for the stereoscopic image registration.
