This year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Lublin’s largest university. The jubilee of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) will be celebrated throughout the year with dozens of different events, including a reunion of the university’s graduates.

Ahead of us are, among others, the solemn inauguration of the academic year combined with a meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities, a meeting of rectors associated in the Alliance for European Universities ATHENA consortium, a great reunion of graduates, as well as numerous scientific, student and cultural events, which refer both to the rich history of the University and perfectly fit in with its comprehensive activities.

“Celebrating the University’s 80th anniversary, we have also planned a Marie Curie Congress to reflect in an international group on the inspiration of the slogan “Innovation is a woman” for science, business, culture and public service”, announced Professor Radosław Dobrowolski, Rector of the UMCS.
