85 outstanding students received the Diamond Grants from Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education. In addition to the prestigious award, researchers will receive financial support. The Ministry of Science will spend over PLN 17 million on the implementation of their scientific projects.
-It is encouraging that every year the group of scientists of the youngest generation increases with new scientific diamonds – said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education. – Through all competitions of Diamond Grants, we have supported almost 700 talented students who can carry out their first independent research projects, thanks to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, – he added.
Over 17 million PLN support will be received by 85 projects whose authors are students or graduates of bachelor studies conducting own scientific research.
Winners of the competition will receive up to 220 thousand PLN for their research. Students will be able to receive a salary of up to PLN 2,500 per month for a period of 24 to 48 months, i.e. throughout the duration of the project.
