Representatives of the world of science and international institutions working for environmental protection met at the Autonomous University of Madrid at the symposium Climate Law and Governance Day. The conference was attended by the director general of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Dr Anna Budzanowska, presenting the perspectives of scientific policy in relation to climate challenges.
Poland, as a country, has caught up with newest trends and the problem of climate change has become one of the most important policies of the new government. Poles want clean air, want to protect the environment and are willing to make commitments related to it – said Anna Budzanowska during the expert panel Climate Protection Problems and Policy Directions from a Post-COP24 Polish Perspective summarizing last year’s Climate Law and Governance Day, which took place in Katowice .
-There is no single recipe for climate neutrality. Different conditions of individual countries mean that we have to look for a path that will be optimal. Scientists make a very significant contribution in this area, because their researches set out directions for climate protection – emphasized Dr Budzanowska.
