Aleksy Borówka, a PhD student of the Institute of International Studies of the University of Wrocław,  took second place in the final of the Second International Geopolitical Olympiad organized by the Polish Geopolitical Society (PTG).

In this year’s competition representatives of five countries Poland, Great Britain, Hungary, Ukraine and Germany advanced to the finals and the best of them were awarded the Geopolitics and Geostrategy Badges. Aleksy Borówka received the Golden Badge and the title of Olympiad Laureate. He obtained 22 out of 30 points possible to get in three rounds of: written, oral, practical types of tasks.

The International Geopolitical Olympiad is a PTG initiative addressed to young people interested in geopolitics – interdisciplinary field of knowledge including political science, geography, international relations, military sciences and national security.
