Professor Tomasz Tański, head of the Department of Engineering and Biomedical Materials at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Przemysław Data from the Department of Physical Chemistry and Polymer Technology at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian University of Technology received the Polish Intelligent Development Award in the Future Scientist category.

The awards were presented during the 4th Intelligent Development Forum in Uniejów – an economic event dedicated to new technologies, innovations, inventions and innovative investments changing the country. The Forum included discussion panels and lectures as well as presentations regarding the latest technologies, automation and artificial intelligence.

The Intelligent Development Center was the main organizer and initiator of the Intelligent Development Forum. Among the honorary patrons were, among others Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Digitization, National Center for Research and Development and the Patent Office.
