Almost 500 people will receive scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant scientific, artistic or sports achievements. Students from all over Poland were evaluated by a team of experts representing various fields of science and art. Awarded students will receive PLN 17,000 each.
The rectors provided the minister with 1,106 applications for a ministerial scholarship for significant achievements for the academic year 2019/2020. The applications were evaluated by the Advisory Jury to Evaluate Applications for Grants from the ministries of higher education and science.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin decided to award 488 scholarships to students. Most scholarships were received by students of the Jagiellonian University – 106, University of Warsaw – 58, Wrocław University of Science and Technology – 40 and the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń – 33.
