The University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz in 2020 will implement the project “University of Equal Opportunities”. The activities will be addressed to disabled people studying at the University of Bydgoszcz.

The University of Kazimierz Wielki took 9th place in Poland among 109 universities applying for funding in the competition “Available University” announced by the National Center for Research and Development. The University has obtained over PLN 3.6 million for the implementation of the project from the Operational Program Knowledge, Education and Development.

Currently, over 200 disabled students and doctoral students are studying at the university. The university, since 2013 organized the Office for Disabled People (currently the Department for People with Disabilities) and the Association of Disabled Students. The University cooperates with the Kuyavian-Pomeranian School of Education No. 1 L. Braille and the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Branch of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled.
