Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz, economist, former deputy prime minister, minister of finance and president of the National Bank of Poland will deliver the lecture “Politics and living conditions in the country” within the program of “8 lectures for the New Millennium”. The meeting will take place on January 21 at the former University Library.
Professor Leszek Balcerowicz is an economist specializing in the theory of economic systems. His research interests include diversity, economic transformation and free market economics. He is a professor at the Department of International Comparative Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and a member of the Committee on Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He was the main implementer of socio-economic reforms in Poland, which began in 1990.
