At the beginning of 2020, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin paid a visit to the Lodz University of Technology (PŁ). Rector of the university, Prof. Sławomir Wiak discussed the matter of the realization of Alchemium investments and planned subsequent projects.
The visit was reported by the Lodz University of Technology paper “Life at the University”.
-I informed the minister that the works (related to the Alchemium investment) were realized as planned. Therefore, the inauguration of the new academic year will take place in the new assembly hall and this date is not in any way threatened – says Prof. Sławomir Wiak. Therefore, the minister was confirmed that the high subsidy granted to the Lodz University of Technology, amounting to almost PLN 100 million, is fulfilling its assumed role.
The Rector presented plans for further investments, including the construction of a passive building and modernization of the papermaking building.
-In this context, I talked to the minister about the urgent need to launch at least part of the treasury bonds granted to the Lodz University of Technology in the amount of PLN 31 725 000. The intention of the university to submit such an application to the Ministry of Finance was greeted with understanding of the Deputy Prime Minister Gowin – informed the rector of PŁ.
