On January 20, 2020, the Senate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow will hold the special session on the occasion of obtaining the status of a research university within the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” competition.

The session will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin. The implementation plan of the project “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” at AGH will be presented by Prof. Eng. Marek Przybylski.

AGH was among the 10 winners of the first competition in the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” (IDUB) program. This program is one of the most important initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the Constitution for Science, whose goal was to select and support universities that will strive to achieve the status of a research university, and will be able to successfully compete with the best universities in Europe and in the world.
