The University of Lodz (UŁ) hosted a delegation from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen chaired by the university president Prof. Dr Joybrato Mukherjee. During the visit, the Justus Liebig University in Giessen officially opened its Information Point at the University of Lodz.

Rector of the University of Lodz Prof. Antoni Różalski, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between universities for over 40 years, said that “the launch of the Information Point is aiming at substantive mutual support in the framework of joint projects, exchange programs, internships and research. I believe that such initiatives have an impact on the development of universities, making them truly international and innovative. ”

The Justus Liebig University (JLU) Giessen is strengthening cooperation by creating three Information Points with partner universities: Andean University in Bogota, Colombia (May 2019), Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia (September 2019) and University of Lodz (February 2020). ).
On April 20, 2020, Giessen will officially open the Contact Points for these three universities at JLU.
