The National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) announced the results of the “Fast Path – Space Technologies” competition. The Center is going to finance 15 projects with the total amount of over PLN 143 million.
-The success of the competition shows that advanced space technologies are getting closer to us. For me it is a signal that we must develop Polish science and focus on academic centers, educating engineers to conquer the high technology market. The space market is a global market, so it is a very competitive challenge and we cannot fail – says Jarosław Gowin, deputy prime minister, minister of science and higher education.
The call for proposals in the competition was conducted from September to November last year. During this period, NCBR received 33 applications, of which 15 received funding. The awarded companies include: Astronika Sp. z o.o., Iceye Polska Sp. z o.o., Progresja Space Sp. z o.o. or a consortium of Creotech Instruments SA with the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
