The Pomeranian University in Słupsk together with the Universities of Gdańsk and Szczecin will implement the Integrated Virtual Herbarium of Pomerania Herbarium Herbarium Pomeranicum project – digitization and sharing of collections of herbariums of Pomeranian academic units.

The strategic goal of the project is to strengthen the digital foundations for the country’s development by digitizing and making available online resources of Pomeranian herbarias. This will reduce the cost of access to herbarium resources and improve access to the achievements of Polish researchers.

It is also planned to make online information about herbarium resources available for public services and entities dealing with environmental resources management. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Digital Poland 2014-2020 Operational Program. The co-financing value is over PLN 25 million.
