Dr Marzanna Pogorzelska from the Institute of Linguistics of the University of Opole, Rector’s representative for equal treatment is the co-author of the publication “After all we are here! Homophobic violence in Polish schools – gay and lesbian narratives”.
The second author of the book about young people experiencing homophobic violence, resisting it, aware and ready to fight for their rights, is Dr Paweł Rudnicki from the Lower Silesian University in Wrocław.
The monograph describes and interprets the educational discourse on psychosexual orientation, practices of violence and persecution as well as survival strategies undertaken by young people. The authors conducted their analyzes in the LGBT society, highlighting the interdependence of such phenomena as homophobia, heterosexism and heteronormativity.
