Soon, the first Polish coronavirus test developed by scientists from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Poznań will be produced.
– My last decision as the Minister of Science and Higher Education, was transferring funds to the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the production of the first 100,000 Polish coronavirus test. Let this great success of our scientists be a source of hope for all of us – wrote Jarosław Gowin in Twitter.
The test was checked on almost a hundred patients. The results were successful and now it will soon be tested at the National Institute of Hygiene. The application for registration has already been submitted and it takes a matter of days to start production. The test will be produced by Medicofarma from Radom.
The Poznań test will be much cheaper than those bought by the government – it will cost around 50-80 PLN, when tests from China cost over 400 PLN.
