The Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw (UW) under the guidance of Prof. Andrzej Wysmołek has developed the production of protective helmets, which will be used by hospitals and other medical institutions. They have already produced 1000 protective helmets. Due to cooperation with company Aviva, 6,000 more will soon be produced.
The Faculty is producing over 100 pieces per day using 3D printing technology. 1,000 protective helmets have already been prepared and transferred to hospitals (including hospital emergency departments) and nursing homes in various places in Poland. Helmets are delivered in cooperation with InPost and Uber.
Thanks to the cooperation with AVIVA signed from next week, scientists will use 10 additional 3D printers, which will allow to increase production to 300 helmets per day. As part of this collaboration, approximately 6,000 medical helmets will be created.
