The COVID-19 drive-thru test center was established at the Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine of the Medical University of Gdańsk. The idea of this solution is to provide testing the patients staying all time in their cars, minimizing interpersonal contacts, which are so dangerous during the epidemic.

Only patients who have previously been registered and qualified for the study can benefit from the study. Qualification is provided by phone 58 349 18 88. The helpline is operated 7 days a week from 9am to 3pm. Testing of qualified patient is free.

The center consists of a year-round tent hall measuring 5 × 6 m (width / length) with an area of approx. 30 m2, equipped with tables, chairs, personal protection equipment, lighting and heating system, as well as all necessary office equipment (laptop, printer, two tablets). Establishment and equipment of the Center cost 35,000 PLN and was funded from the budget of the Pomeranian Voivode.
