The Amplicon company operating in the Wrocław Technology Park has started the production of diagnostic tests for COVID-19. They are based on a genetic method that guarantees high accuracy. Their results will be available after a few hours. The Amplicon is able to provide tens of thousands of tests per week.

The Amplicon diagnostic test is based on real time PCR and detects sequences specific for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It was developed according to a reference method published by the World Health Organization. The test procedure takes only 4 to 5 hours.

Currently, Amplicon can produce about 15,000 tests per week, however, depending on the demand, it can increase its production to as much as 60,000 tests per week. Both the team and the company’s laboratory, located in the Wrocław Technology Park, are prepared for this in terms of implemented procedures and protocols.
