Five research centers have started cooperation within POLCRIN – a national network of entities conducting clinical trials of medicinal products and medical devices.

According to the Academic Forum, the POLCRIN (Polish Clinical Research Infrastructure Network) network will include 5 institutions: the National Cardiology Institute of Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński, the National Research Institute in Warsaw; “Memorial – Children’s Health Center” Institute in Warsaw; Medical University of Bialystok; Medical University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Lodz.

POLCRIN is part of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network, which was established to promote and facilitate international clinical research. Its activity focuses on clinical trials initiated by academic sponsors as well as by small and medium enterprises from the biotechnology and medical devices sector.

Twelve countries belong to the ECRIN network with nine of them having member status (Germany, France, Czech Republic, Norway, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Hungary and Italy), and the other three being observers (Slovakia, Switzerland and Poland).
