University of Agriculture in Krakow elects a new rector

The University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK) for the first time in its history conducted the election of the rector remotely. By decision of the college of electors, the current vice-rector for teaching and student affairs of Prof. Sylwester Tabor became a new rector.

Professor Tabor is a co-author of 6 scientific monographs, including two as a scientific editor, author of 23 expert opinions commissioned by enterprises and economic institutions and 6 popular science studies, contractor of 7 research projects, head of postgraduate studies of Management of the technology transfer, member of the Polish Accreditation Committee (2012 ), and in the years 2007–2011 he was a secretary of the Main Board of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering and a member of the Board of the Polish Society of Information Technology in Agriculture and Forestry and Food Economy POLSITA.

He is also an expert of the Marshal Office of the Silesian Voivodship on developing a Rural Development Strategy for the Silesian Voivodship by 2030.
