The Silesian University of Technology was for the first time included in the prestigious international university ranking QS World University Rankings. The university took the 801-1000 places. Among Polish technical universities, only Warsaw University of Technology took a higher range.

– Over the past four years, the Silesian University of Technology has been listed in the three most important rankings for world science. It is a huge success for us and a very important achievement of the university. It is worth emphasizing that we are among leading Polish universities present in these rankings, but we are also working on strengthening this position – says Prof. Eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk, rector of the Silesian University of Technology.

The QS ranking belongs to the so-called “Big Three” next to the Shanghai Ranking and Times Higher Education. It takes into account the academic reputation, employers’ reputation, the number of academic staff to students, the number of citations and internationalization.
