Students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Krakow University of Technology are designing the new center of Rabka-Zdrój. They presented their concepts through a virtual, open to the public show with the participation of the city mayor Leszek Świder.

Student ideas will be the starting point for further discussions and design work for the spa authorities, who are planning to revitalize urban spaces, restoring their splendor and give them new functions necessary for Rabka’s development.

The topic of student work “Urban project of the center of Rabka-Zdrój” was selected in consultation with and at the request of the City Hall of Rabka-Zdrój, which signed a cooperation agreement with the Krakow University of Technology last year.

Proposals for the city center include facilities with service, gastronomy, trade fair and tourist functions, places for coworking, housing, hotel and sports facilities, as well as an administrative center with a new town hall. There is also an idea to develop a railway on the flyover, as well as creating pedestrian and pedestrian-bicycle zones for residents.
