In Krakow, the 18th Tischner Days will begin on April 18th. The organizers of the event are: Institute of Józef Tischner Thoughts, Znak Social Research Institute, Jagiellonian University, Pontifical University of John Paul II and the State Drama School in Krakow. The special guest is Prof. Timothy Garton Ash from Oxford.
During the Days, the sponsors Znak and ERGO Hestia present the Tishner Award to selected journalists and writers in three categories. In the category of religious or philosophical literature, the prize will be received by the philosopher Ireneusz Ziemiński. In the category of journalism on social issues the winner is a journalist Ewa Siedlecka, and in the category of pastoral and social initiatives the award will be presented to Father Mirosław Tosza, founder of the community of Bethlehem in Jaworzno. The head of jury is Father Adam Boniecki.
