Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the new rector of the Poznań University of Technology, will chair the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities (KRPUT) in the 2020–2024 term. He will replace Prof. Tadeusz Słomka, rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
KRPUT was established in 1989. It is a voluntary association of rectors representing Polish technical universities, including maritime universities, which are members of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Academic Schools. Currently, it associates 22 member universities and 6 associated universities. KRPUT is the representative body of the universities competent in the field of higher education and science. It supports the activities of public authorities for science, research and education.
The current chairman of KRPUT, Prof. Eng. Tadeusz Słomka, for the next four years, will be the Honorary President, whose task will be to support the Conference in activities for the development and proper functioning of higher education.
