Dr Łukasz Rąbalski of the University of Gdańsk will implement the project “Infections accompanying SARS-CoV-2. Database of COVID-19 Accompanying Infections”. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has offered 985 thousand PLN for this research. The database will be an important source of information on the prevalence and impact of mixed infections on the health of SARS-CoV-2 infected patients.

The aim of the research conducted by a scientist from the Department of Recombinant Vaccines of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk is to determine to what extent infections accompanying SARS-CoV-2 can affect the clinical picture of COVID-19 disease. He also will prepare a database of these infections.

Scientists from the International Center for Cancer Vaccine Science, established at the University of Gdańsk will participate in the creation of this base.
