Young scientists from Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the fourth the “Implementation Doctorate Program” received almost PLN 19 million. Funding was granted to 58 doctorates submitted in 10 scientific disciplines.
The greatest number of doctorates (twelve each) received funding in the disciplines of automation, electronics and electrical engineering, as well as technical information technology and telecommunications. Grants were also awarded to eight projects in mechanical engineering, seven in management and quality sciences, five in environmental engineering, mining and energy, four in physical sciences and chemical engineering, and two in mathematics, chemical sciences and civil engineering, and transport.
Implementation doctorates are an alternative way of obtaining a doctoral title, intended for people who do not want to give up their professional work outside the university, while developing their scientific career. Their main assumption is to prepare a doctoral dissertation that will help a given enterprise to function.
