On November 27, 2020, the European Researchers’ Night will be celebrated for the 15th time. On this occasion, researchers of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Olsztyn prepared 15 lectures as part of the EIT Food project, discussing the most interesting issues of the nutrition and human health. The events of the Scientists’ Night are free and intended for school children.
During the lectures, students will learn what bacteria exist in human intestines and how with food people can strengthen the immune system.
Together with the scientist, the kids will also find out when they should follow a gluten-free diet and talk about the facts and myths about the quality of fish from farmed ponds.
In addition, one of the more serious diseases of the 21st century, obesity will be also discussed. The scientists will find out whether fat tissue can eat calories.
