At the G2A Arena Exhibition and Congress Center of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, the local government of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Exatel company and two universities signed an agreement which assumes the creation of a space cluster in the region and the implementation of the Satellite Earth Observation System project.

The letter of intention was signed by representatives of the local government of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Exatel SA, Rzeszów University of Technology and the State Higher School of Technology and Economics in Jarosław.

The main goal of the cluster is to expand national competences in the field of space technologies and satellite techniques with the participation of the commercial and scientific sectors.

The signatories of the letter intend to cooperate in the preparation of an application for the creation of a Satellite Earth Observation System under the National Reconstruction Plan. It will be created in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense. As a result, the first Polish constellation of observation satellites will be created.
