Jury of the Professor Tadeusz Kotarbiński, the first Rector of the University of Lodz Competition has announced the seventh competition for the most outstanding work in the field of humanities. Papers can be submitted by all scientific institutions in Poland until May 15, 2021. The author of the winning work will receive PLN 50,000 for further research.
-The humanities impact is strong because of the high level of submitted works, which has not weakened since the beginning of the competition. I am talking not only about those works that reach the final stage. Many of those who did not receive awards have deserved great recognition and attention from readers. Every year the jury has a big problem with the final selection of the nominees – emphasizes Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska, rector of the University of Łódź.
Works for the competition may be submitted by universities, university organizational bodies, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, scientific publishers and other scientific institutions. Each institution may submit one book that was published in 2020. The Competition Jury will select a maximum of five works nominated for the award. The nominations will be announced in September 2021.
