The Medical University of Silesia and the Silesian Voivodeship will take steps to improve and extend the lives of the region’s inhabitants. The agreement for the promotion and protection of the health of the inhabitants of the Silesian Voivodeship was signed by the university rector, Prof. Tomasz Szczepański and Marshal of the region, Jakub Chełstowski.

The signatories are planning to launch or support initiatives aimed at improving the quality and increasing the availability of health services, ensuring favorable conditions for the implementation of a healthy lifestyle for residents, the development of medical and telemedicine technologies, and tightening cooperation in the implementation of activities promoting the health of residents.

The priority is to educate the staff, ensuring the greatest possible access to health care facilities, as well as organizing the Silesian medical innovation fair and developing a regional health atlas, which will allow providing for the necessary measures in the field of prevention and investment.
