Four Polish universities: the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Warsaw University of Technology have signed a letter of intent to promote science with Imperial College London (ICL). The initiated cooperation aims to create conscious and mature relations between science and society.
The letter signing ceremony was held at the Jagiellonian University’s Collegium Novum.
The newly established cooperation initiative will deal with many challenges related to science, including climate change and COVID-19 facing European and global societies.
The Department of International Cooperation of the Jagiellonian University emphasizes that now more than ever, conscious and mature relations between science and society are important.
The cooperation will include the exchange of expertise and ideas, developing podcasts promoting interdisciplinary science, as well as workshops that could complement the study programs. The communication program between Polish universities and ICL “is to be an example of scientific communication tailored to our times” declare the signatories of the letter.
