University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań has maintained last year’s positions in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021. The ranking classifies universities, evaluating them in 54 fields included in five areas: Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences. 

The university in Poznań was rated the highest in the field of Hospitality & Tourism Management, where it took the position 201-300 and thus took the 1st place in Poland. In other fields, the University took places: 401-500 in Earth Sciences, 301-400 in Ecology, 301-400 in Atmospheric Science, 401-500 in Agricultural Sciences -.

The ranking takes into account 5 indicators: the number of publications in a given discipline in journals from the first quartile in terms of Impact Factor; normalized citation effect; international cooperation assessed on the basis of publications; the number of articles published in the best journals and prestigious awards received by scientists from selected scientific fields.
