The Mayor of Rzeszów Konrad Fijołek and Prof. Sylwester Czopek, the rector of the University of Rzeszów (URz), signed a cooperation agreement. It assumes that the university will conduct social research to help the city undertake specific actions to improve the quality of life of Rzeszów residents. 

The agreement was signed in the municipal laboratory Urban Lab, which is a space for developing innovative solutions and ideas for the city.

The research of the University’s scientists and the exchange of opinions will allow us to direct our activities – said the Mayor of Rzeszów and added that he would like Rzeszów to be a city of young people who would like to settle in it. The city needs research and knowledge about the functioning and what should be improved.

The Rector of the University of Rzeszów emphasized that the University offering science and knowledge cannot exist without its surroundings. The exchange and transfer of knowledge is mutually beneficial.
