Dr Anna Guzy and Dr Magdalena Ochwat from the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Humanities Education at the University of Silesia will conduct research as part of the Visegrad project “V4 humanistic education for climate. Diagnoses – good practices – recommendations” in cooperation with Europe Direct Śląskie.
The project “Humanistic forecasts for the climate” is devoted to climate change from the humanistic perspective. The area of the study covers primary and secondary schools from cities all over Poland, with particular emphasis on Silesia, where hard coal mining was for centuries one of the most important anthropocentric activities that define the identity of the region and determine its perception in Poland and in the world.
The research report will be based on the results of a questionnaire addressed to teachers of the Polish language, regarding the answer to the question of whether and how Polish teachers shape pro-ecological attitudes among students in schools.
