The Project Center – Digital Poland (CPPC) and the Lodz University of Technology (TUL) will jointly implement the “Digital Commune” project, in which approximately PLN 1 billion of funding will be provided for the digitization of offices.
The condition for participation in the project is to undergo a free cybersecurity audit – said Janusz Cieszyński, Secretary of State for Digitization at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
The first call for proposals will start on October 18. Local governments can get from 100,000. up to PLN 2 million. These funds can be allocated to the digitization of offices, the purchase of computer equipment, preparation of officials to work with modern technologies, support in the area of cybersecurity and training.
TUL will be responsible for the formal and substantive supervision of applications submitted by communes through a specially created platform. After the applications are assessed by a commission appointed from university employees, a grant agreement will be prepared. The program is expected to last until the end of 2023.
