The University of Silesia in Katowice, the Metropolis GZM and the Silesian Library are inviting students to seminars and open lectures, which will be conducted in October and November by Prof. John Matteson from City University of New York – Pulitzer Prize Winner.

The meetings will be held remotely as part of the project “Metropolis of the Metropolis, or New York Pulitzer winner for Silesia and Zagłębie”, implemented as part of the “Metropolitan Fund for Science Support” program of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Upper Silesia.

Professor John Matteson is one of the most outstanding biographers of today, as it was evidenced by his 2008 Pulitzer Prize. He is a graduate of Princeton University (Faculty of History), Harvard University (Faculty of Law) and Columbia University (Faculty of English and Comparative Literature). He works as a Distinguished Professor at the Faculty of English at John Jay College of Criminal Justice City University of New York.
