44 people from Wrocław University of Science and Technology have been classified in the latest prestigious ranking of the most influential people of science in the world. TOP 2 percent list contains the names of scientists whose publications are most often cited by other authors.

The list includes almost 190,000 names from all over the world, including 957 people working in Polish research centers. The Polish Academy of Sciences boasts the largest group of influential researchers (174). The Wrocław University of Science and Technology takes the sixth position in the general Polish ranking and in the third place among Polish technical universities just like a year ago.

Ranking TOP 2 percent is written by analysts from Stanford University, Elsevier publishing house and SciTech Strategies. It assesses the entire scientific output of researchers according to the bibliometric index, taking into account such criteria as: the Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations) or the position on the list of authors.
